MUSIC THERAPY

SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPY
Speech and Language Therapy is a researched based therapy that improves an individual's ability to communicate. Speech Therapy addresses all areas of speech and language development such as oral-motor, articulation, expressive language, fluency, auditory processing/receptive language, and social/pragmatic language skills. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational Therapy is a researched based therapy that improves an individual's fine motor skills, gross motor skills, self help/activities of daily living skills/play skills, and sensory processing. CONSULTING
Heartland Therapy specializes in home based therapy and educational settings with children who have the diagnosis of Autism. Heartland Therapy offers consulting to parents in regards to:

  • Implementation of Augmentative Communication Devices
  • Improving communication and interaction among family members and peers
  • Using visual supports/schedules within the home for improved independence
  • Using nonverbal communication to improve behavior and following directions
Heartland Therapy offers consulting to school districts in regards to:
  • Implementation of Augmentative Communication Devices within the classroom
  • Classroom set up and organization for students with Autism
  • Implementation of visual supports/schedules within the classroom
  • Providing opportunities for communication within the classroom
  • Inclusion of students who are nonverbal or have limited speech production
